Located about 18 miles east of the Bays of Huatulco, Salchi would certainly be considered off the beaten track. It requires about a 20-minute drive along an unmarked dirt road, which is easier said than done during the rainy season. This shift in weather often results in poor road conditions where 4×4 vehicles are required.
Upon arrival the road opens up to reveal a collection of privately owned villas. Once here visitors may take a walk down the hillside and along a dirt road to gain access to a private beach. This beach is rather expansive and offers moderate to intermediate wave conditions. Experienced divers who partake in the scuba tour with Gravity Sport Divers will have an opportunity to dive at this location. This is a great area for those looking to seclude themselves.
