Quaint Fishing Town, Perfect For A Huatulco Day Trip
Puerto Angel is a small fishing town 30 minutes down the highway from Huatulco. Although it may seem underwhelming at first, the turquoise waters, kind locals, and small town charm give Puerto Angel its appeal. Being a fishing village, you will find seafood restaurants dotting the beach and coastline, offering fresh catch menus with everything from salmon to lobster. While here you can visit Playa Panteón or “cemetery beach”, named for the local cemetery directly behind it. Visiting a cemetery on your vacation does not seem like a traveling norm, however, as the pictures will depict, it is quite interesting.
You can find a map of Puerto Angel along with other maps of Huatulco on the Huatulco Local Area Maps post.
