What to do in Huatulco: Jim Spicka Art Exhibit

Come Check Out Some Amazing Works Of Art By Jim Spicka This Friday March 2nd

An Open House will be held at Sueno del Mar in Chahue, Friday March 2nd from 6:00-9:00p.m for the Art Exhibit “Huatulco Being”.

Talented artist, Jim Spicka has created a new genre of art with his paper and acrylic on glass medium. Recently, Jim donated 2 art pieces to the Rotary “Have a Heart” fundraiser, which was held on Saturday February 18th. At this fundraiser, Jim Spicka’s stunning pieces raised some significant cash when they sold for 6700 pesos at silent auction.

At the art exhibit on March 2nd there will be pieces ranging from $75.00 to $1250.00 USD. A generous 60% of the proceeds will benefit El Sueno Zapateco and the Bacaanda Foundation.

This art exhibit is free and open to everyone so be sure to stop by and check it out!

Also at this event the Foundation will be selling their own arts and crafts to raise funds. This is an awesome opportunity to benefit a good cause while also taking home some unique pieces of art.

The event gives the Foundation a platform to display information about their purpose and efforts which include bringing dental clinics, hygiene classes, nutritional education, sewing and art classes and needed supplies to the rural schools of Huatulco.
