Even on vacation everyone needs a little “me” time, and here are some great ways to spend it in Huatulco!

We all take vacations for many different reasons, whether to spend time with the family, to decompress, to forget about our everyday troubles, or spend time with our significant others. Whatever the reason, take a couple of hours out of your vacation to do something just for YOU. By taking the time to enjoy the simple things in life you will become re-energized and have a new lease on life! On that note, here are a few activities to do for YOU in Huatulco that won’t break the bank.

Good Morning Yoga

Huatulco | Yoga Could anything be more soothing to the soul than a morning yoga class? Check the Yoga Huatulco website for the morning class schedule and be sure to get out a couple times during your stay. You’ll thank yourself – and your instructor – after each class!

Classes are generally held in the ocean front park of Santa Cruz; where watching the palm trees sway in the breeze, listening to the birds chirp their morning song, and hearing the waves lapping on the beach…are all part of your morning practice. If this or yoga in general interests you, be sure to check out the availability and times of yoga retreats being held in Huatulco through our blog.

Watch the moonrise

If you are fortunate enough to be in Huatulco during a full moon, plan ahead and find a spot where you can watch the moonrise! The unique location of Huatulco means it is one of the few places where you can watch both the moonrise and sunset; so don’t miss out on this phenomenon! Organize a dinner picnic on the beach or rooftop cocktails with loved ones and watch the fiery red ball creep out of the Pacific Ocean. A scene like this is sure to leave you wondering if you stumbled into a movie.

Skinny dip under the stars

(Kids put your earmuffs on!) If you’re already on the beach to watch the moonrise, and circumstances permit it….strip down and skinny dip under the moon and stars! An experience like this needs little explanation, but suffice to say, this thrill is sure to leave you feeling liberated.

Take a bike ride
