One of our top rentals since we started the business, Villa Maya (villa #1013) remains to be a favorite with travelers! Located in the exclusive gated Sueño Real complex in Huatulco Mexico, this villa continues to maintain its luxurious allure for guests.

Given the open-air nature of many architectural villa designs in this tropical location, it can be challenging to find a villa that offers exposure to the beautiful surroundings while still offering privacy. This Huatulco villa offers just both! When you walk through the ten foot wooden doors into the villa’s courtyard, you’re greeted with the villa’s private pool, surrounded by a ‘living’ garden wall of tropical trees and flowers. The first, main floor terrace offers a relaxing outdoor spot to watch over the pool while enjoying a morning coffee or good book. With an outdoor fan overhead, you’ll never get too hot sitting in this spot, a favorite with guests.

The main floor offers an open-concept layout with the kitchen, dinette, bar and living room areas. This allows for social time, even when you’re getting a delicious meal ready in the kitchen. With windows throughout, you will love the bright elements to this area of the home. Beside the kitchen area is a separate dining room with seating for eight. This beautiful large table is perfect for enjoying a nice formal dinner. You can even splurge and have one of the local in-villa chefs come out to prepare and serve a meal for you to savor and enjoy in the comforts of your own villa!

Aside from the main floor powder room, the three upstairs bedrooms offer their own private/full ensuite baths. This gives the villa a very resort-like feel. This feature offers guests the benefits of having their own space to spread out to make themselves feel truly at home in this Huatulco villa. The location of the three upper bedrooms offers a unique design where the rooms are all in close proximity to one another – perfect for families with younger children. All three bedrooms still offer great privacy, but they all stem off the same landing area. Often in Huatulco villas, bedrooms are dispersed throughout the house – making it challenging to be in earshot at night.

The fourth bedroom is a single bedroom on the main level of the house, located in a private location by the villa’s courtyard. It includes a small, basic three piece bathroom located directly beside the bedroom.

There is an additional terrace with a palapa-style thatched roof located on the upper floor where you can enjoy stunning views of the Pacific and of Santa Cruz Bay.

In addition to all the wonderful amenities you have access to at the villa itself, Sueño Real also offers a common area where residents and guests can interact with one another. Here you’ll find another large (infinity) pool with a shallower wading area for children. There are loungers and chairs in this area for guests to use. The views from the common area are incredible!
