Located between Tangolunda Bay and Chahue this upscale neighborhood is home to one of the nicest beaches in the area. Rightfully named Playa El Arrocito this quaint beach offers calm wave conditions and shallow waters. This setting, along with the reef bank a little ways out, results in ideal snorkeling conditions. Access to this beach is available by water or by foot via a set of concrete stairs.
Arrocito’s prime location atop a set of rolling hills results in some of the nicest coastal views Huatulco has to offer. Those staying in Arrocito have easy access to Tangolunda Bay and Santa Cruz, two popular Huatulco Bays. Approximate travel times by vehicle to these locations are about 3 and 5 minutes, respectively. This is a great area for anyone who wants to escape the busier bays while still having great access to them.
